Ying started training at a very young age as the daughter of Master T.Y. Pang. When she was still too young to attend school, Ying went with her father to his classes and sat in the corner, watching many hours of training. Later as a teenager she would often teach her father’s students, awkwardly at first, as all the students were much older than she was. Now many decades later, she is able to translate the experience gained in her youth and guide others in a “way of moving” called Tai Chi and Pa Kua. Ying has a unique ability to introspect on what is happening in the mind and body while the movements are performed and communicate that with students, thus providing valuable insights into the essence of Tai Chi and Pa Kua movement.
